Hard to find bourbons...

Very cool about the trees! Said it's common around distilleries.
I guess it’s a fungus. Talking to a hunter this morning that has one of the most unbelievable collections I’ve seen yet, including on line. Basement walls(all four) stacked from waist to ceiling with nothing but the most expensive and hardest to find juices in the country. I guess he’s been doing it for years.
Todays haul…..(my first EHT Rye.)

Is anyone struggling with having a barrel strength bourbon and going backwards to a 90 proof?

Can you enlighten us on the terminology? Barrel Proof?

Some of the rabbit hole I went down earlier today. Basically, barrel proof is what it test at before it goes in the barrel. They can water it down after that.

So after researching it and thinking about it, yes, Eric, I have a problem with them advertising at one level and selling it at another. I can water it down myself if I want to. Sell me what I'm paying for.

Thanks for sharing Dave. Very informative.
