I saw ONE meme which used the word "autist". I do not want to start rumors. Has anyone heard mention of this? Or was this just one meme making stuff up? Autism comes in many shapes, sizes, and varieties. It might explain the shooting accuracy or maybe the calm under pressure? I read where Elon Musk has a form of autism too. I've yet to verify this one. But, autism is such a broad "disability", from high functioning, or savants, or catatonic. I'd be interested if anyone can confirm this about the hero.

That would be fascinating. It is definitely a spectrum.

For shits and giggles today. With range finder. 30 yards, front sight post took up half the target. Causal shooting 16 rounds 9mm Sig 365….put only 7 on target. A scared 22 year old, firing in somewhat rapid succession at a moving target, 80% accuracy ….not buying it.

I would reconsider the term accuracy. Go through the exercise with a human size target. I havent read where they were all center mass or headshots.

The GG landed the first shot in a braced position dropping the BG immediately. Guess he didn't like getting shot any more than those that were shot by him. Anyway, landing the other rounds at a stationary target now makes more sense. Regardless, it was absolutely incredible shooting at that distance under those circumstances.

Very interesting. The FIBS factor could end a lot of these incidents. “F I’ve been shot” realization would take the sting out of most of these losers.

It would also make sense if the first shot dropped him and both the perp and shooter were at ground level. Missing low will still skip rounds into the perp.

Remarkable is right. I would love to hear from this guy. Something tells me he was surprised at how calm he was on the moment. From the sounds of it he got through the ooda loop almost immediately and executed this guy like a machine. I bet the nerves kicked in after the fact. Maybe not, but to have been that accurate at that distance he had to be in the freakin zone.

OODA! Yeah...seconds in reaction time to figure out what was going on and his response time is amazing.
