Don't know what I did. Topped it off with gas. Only took 2gal. Good news: no hole in gas tank. Bad news: still not on trailer. So I jump in seat, turn key, I hear fuel pump hum, turn key and she fired. Good news: it is loaded and I am rolling as soon as I pull out of gas station. Bad news: there is clearly an intermittent issue somewhere in the column or tumbler. This could be a fun one to figure out.
Swapped starter solenoid and it was starting with no issues. I may have to now.I thought you were going to bypass that?

I think in the ignition switch there is only a tiny brass piece to make contact. If not ignition switch, the tumbler could be bad. I'm leaning towards tumbler. It rotates farther than it should sometimes. If no connection made internally, energizer wire doesn't light up electric fuel pump. When jumping across the starter solenoid it cranked but no fire. If no fuel pump running this explains it. I'm leaning towards tumbler because of this.Yep, I hate intermittent issues like that...
Can't be to mad lol
