Had another good pull this weekend. I need to start taking longer videos over scrapes!

This video is exciting! He's starting to feel it and was moving an hour after dark. I had some suspicions as to where he was bedding, but this video shifted that a little. I have a feeling he is spending a good bit of time in the same thick draw where Deuce spent a lot of his time in 2007-2008. It's south of this camera 100 yards and is an area I've set aside as a sanctuary. Makes a great place to hunker down if you're a mature buck. He's drawn to this corner and I have a couple options for hunting it. If he makes it through to late season and I am still getting pics here, I think this is a spot I can kill him late.

Farva reminds me of my 2004 buck, but not as heavy. He's a big framed deer in regards to his body. Long and tall. He'll be a stud next year, but I'd stick him given the chance. Maybe not in the next 7-10 days, but I could see me being happy with him as mid-November rolls around.

Got some good scouting out of my other cams in the past couple weeks as well. The cam over the Runway Plot caught DD on a few occasions cruising the edges presumably searching for signs of a hot doe. It also caught Farva and Cowboy doing the same thing.







I had a cam on our hardwoods ridge that caught both Farva and Cowboy walking through the funnel up there close to daylight late last week. And lest I forget about my honey hole behind my parents house, this buck wondered through last Friday...

The cams were slow over the past 4 days on all fronts. Very little daylight action from even does. Weather and the moon to blame? Possibly. I did get a nice series of Cowboy that are a little better than the ones to date. I like the looks of this deer and would be happy seeing him, let along shooting him.
