Levi has one on his birthday list. (Thanks Nate) I know nothing about them. I’m also going to guess that this will turn into a truck full of them. So any suggestions would be great. I’m also all for taking a used one out of your way if you have one I can afford.

I'd recommend checking the marketplaces for used ones. Usually can always find em for a fraction of the price from couples that had to have em and used em 1 or 2 weekends and now they take up space. Maybe take him to a store with them, see what style he likes between sit on top or sit ins. For fishing I like the sit on tops cause you can ride around with all your stuff on your lap, till you flip it and it's all in the lake!

You need to get yourself a paddle board and practice fishing standing on that. By 2025 you'll have mastered it or have drowned.

We have 4 pelican kayaks. Two are sit on top and two are sit inside. They work fine.

We bought some kayaks from Dunham sports on sale. I think the ones we got were like $150 to $250. The sit on top are more comfortable and an elevated seat would be nice as I don't have one. For the occasional use the cheap ones are fine in my opinion. The wider bottom ones are more stable..

They closed the thread for some stupid reason. Didn’t even send me a reason why. You’d think Kim would at least tell me what I did wrong.

Its a wide range out there bud. I have a 12 ft field and stream and my wife has a 9ft perception. Both pretty stable and fairly light. You have to find that balance between light enough to maneuver and strong enough to hold up. Like cars man they all make good ones and not so good ones. Good luck on your search.
