No. I took a picture of the coordinates where i found it just in case tho. It looked to have been dead maybe a couple days. I hear they are fairly common in the Detroit River.

Smallmouth, no luck. Walleye... not much luck needed, really, but we did have to pick at em again to get them. I’ve not found a big pod yet this summer as we did the last couple years. Still, finding enough. Nothing really big but a pretty decent grade. We fished around Starve, east of the monument, east of Kelly’s and just off Marblehead this afternoon. Probably spent more time running than we did fishing.
Can’t wait for sunrise!

Guy at work got them really quick this past Sunday. I think he launched out of Huron. Good luck if you're heading back out tomorrow!

Thanks Jim. I’m going to start about halfway between east harbor and AE shoal. I’ve found a patch of em there the last two trips and finished up there tonight. It’s right in the middle of all the boat traffic from the harbor and Mazurick but there is always fish there. Crazy. Thought about trying for perch in the morning too.

I’m purchasing a camper that is in Wild Wings. I’ve been here fooling with that process most of the day. I know nothing about this area of the lake so I did what anyone that wants to catch fish should do —- I called Chad (Gern). He clued me in on a patch of nice fish that are a very short run out of the harbor.
THANKS CHAD!

Got the lines wet at 7am casted our 4 man limit plus some throw backs by 1030. 3 drifts on a glass lake with some newbies from Virginia. We jumped in and swam after a victory beverage and headed home. My distant cousin got a fish Ohio on his first trip to boot. Hell of a 4th of July morning. Back at it tomorrow.
15 count on 1/2 oz. Weight forward spinners tipped with a half crawler. 45-53ft of water. Color didn't seem to matter, the active fish were still very high in the water column.
