Dad and I are tinkerers (word?) and made a solar panel out of some wood, copper piping, tin cans (alot), and a sliding glass door. We called it the coffin and it was our prototype. On a 34 degree day with sunshine it was giving off 140 degree air.
We ended up making a much larger version and it supplements the house heating system using coolant and holding tanks in a radiator system. The logs are very effecient and they hardly use any LP.
