Awesome to hear that they figured out what it was and have him on the mend. Good thing he had you guys around. Other than the health scare it seems like you guys are having a productive time at camp.

Thanks for the well wishes and prayers. Ryan and his crew is headed home. Told him to get well and that he wasn’t missing anything. Weather gonna warm up and be 60 in the mornings and 80 in the evenings. For the next 10 days WTF!

Hunted this morning seeing 13 doe. Went made a duck hunt and killed 2 grey ducks (gadwall) and a wood duck. Lost a couple wood ducks to them being wounded and thick buck brush. Hunter and I went to the property and Hunter seen a nice 6 and spike. Later seen 2 doe and they came running back w a big bear following them. I had a nice buck cross at 30 yards and seen two doe.

My target buck just showed up on cam. Wasn’t getting many pics and tonight they on their feet. Hunter had the target buck on his cam last two evenings. Gonna get right here shortly but weather will suck. Hunter also said we had 30 ducks or so in the pond. Things are looking up as I was getting frustrated.

Hot days and cold nights probably has them laying low during the day. This weather is shit for deer hunting. 25 degree temp swings. Maybe you can catch him heading back to bedding in the morning. Looks like we'll have two nights of cold temps and then it'll only be low 60s at night and in the 70s during the day for a while.

Yeah weather not cooperating but I’m still going to hunt. Got a couple mallards in the pond but they will be gone w this heat wave. It is what it is.

Well I had some visitors this evening and did Hunter. His was more welcomed than mine.

Duck hunted and got beat down by the ducks. Only a few came in but wanted away from us on the flood edge of field. We busted up 5 spots that had been keeping water from my blind.
Hb and I jump shooted some woodies and came up w two drakes. Wasn’t many there. Then we set lines and just ran them at dark and caught 3 cats.
After the jump shooting we processed the 3 deer that was in ice chest. Still have 20# of roast to wrap and clean a front shoulder and a neck. We going duck hunting in the morning as the south wind is blowing 20 mph and it’s warm.
I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! Even though it don’t feel like a normal one.

Thanks in one year I will retire, and will start living life and burn the fire bright. Too many years I had 2 full time jobs and missed out on soo much, more so for the wife. We gonna fish, travel and hunt like a fool.
