Went back to the camp Thursday evening to meet Blake at his camp. The week before he had his outboard stolen off his boat. So we were going to build a fence out of some spare scrap that he could get his hands on.
Friday Gavin and Cody came in to his camp, I knew this driving up so I dropped off some turtle meat for him to cook us all a gravy and drink some cold ones out in the 100 degree weather in the dark

Now we headed to Stuart Florida to pick up a Ttop for my boat. Heās a charter captain so we gonna fish a couple days w him. On the menu is Goliath grouper, mutton and lane snapper, snook and tarpon. And since we will only be 4.5 from key west and never been there, thatās a great possibility also.

I can tell you, everything is overpriced even for a tourist trap. Iām not impressed so far. Kind of like the French quarter without the smells. Lots of same chromosomes running around together. We stayed the night but will hit the state park and beach till noon the latest. Then drive 5 hours north to pick up my Ttop and head home.

Just dropped my first 4 legged animal of the season! Yard been getting tore up so I just went outside w my 22 mag. 30 seconds later I have a dilla flopping in the yard. He FAAFO!

Oh Hunter and his friend up at the camp. Did some scouting yesterday and put cams on the property. Hunted the property this morning and didnāt see anything. They hunted the wma where they found falling persimmons and his buddy seen 3 does w no shot. Hunter had 3 does and a velvet spike. Had one at 20 and one at 3 yards w no shot. He said blood will spill tomorrow as he will make an adjustment and climb a different tree in the morning. I will post his kill tomorrow

Ole Hunter is becoming the master guide. Took a friend that hasnāt killed and got him his first in 3 hunts. All on public, which is pretty tough around here.

Yesterday I took the boat out to go fishing w the wife. Wind was blowing but we were gonna stay on the interior marsh. Bought 50 live shrimp for 25$ 
. They didnāt last long w the hardheads and gafftops. We did manage to put a couple specks and a couple redfish in the ice chest. After running out of shrimp, I ran around looking for small pogeys, found a couple but also found shrimp. I threw the castnet for about an hour and caught a few.

Headed to the camp. Big front pushing in. Gonna bow hunt and hog hunt. The boys are coming up Sunday because a friend that hunts is getting married Saturday. I told him congrats I wonāt be thereā¦.wtf was you thinking? The boys might skip it, supposed to be 45 Sunday! Unheard of here in the last 40 years. I can remember ice being in the ditch waiting for the bus but that was many, many moons ago. The old saying was āyou donāt rabbit or squirrel hunt until the first frostā.

Hitting the hunting grounds tomorrow! Decided to spend the last couple of days helping my dad with the rest of his hurricane clean up! Will take pictures of the 390ft of fencing and all the roofing and framing we did on the barn from tree damage!
