We good, went to property to pull cards and throw golden acorns. Went to town to get ice, fuel and sumpin to eat. Meeting a buddy that lives up here. His work has an ice machine and he’s filling a 150 and a 94 qt.

Well he got some poohnanny before he gave up the ghost. It’s the buck I just shot.
No shooters on cam and the two 4yr olds are a no show also. I’m not sure if we should hit the public land or start duck hunting.
I did get a oddball pic of a buck w horns that you never see around these parts. Beams almost touch. Got good length for a 2 yr old.
We will pass on him next year also.

He’s a baby with lot of potential. They all usually disappear by the time they are 3. 4 yr olds and up very rarely get a pic and if you do it’s one time. Either way he will most likely be on the pass list.

So did I say it’s been raining? Almost need Noah’s ark this morning. Yesterday I knew the bridge would be under so we fed and pulled cards. Had to move a cam cause it would be underwater right now. This morning it hasn’t stopped raining but should be ending in an hour or two. We brought the boat and almost paddled over the gate which is highest spot on the crossing. Hunter has bow and gun in a ladder stand and I’m watching 800 yards of turn row. I must still be mad at them. Anyway let’s see what today brings. Also you fuggars go to work, the Democrats are depending on you. [emoji23]

Hunted this morning seeing six does. Hunter seen 4. We were about to get out the stands when a young 8 come strolling through and 7 more does had me locked in the stand for over an hour. Hunter seen a spike snd 3 does during that hour.
Went to the camp and a buddy is flagging me over. Said they arrowed a good one but jumped it an hour later.
We back in the stands and I told my buddy to go track around 4:30, and if they don’t find it I will meet them there w Pearl.

They found the deer before we got off the stand. Decent buck.

Seen 20 this morning w only two being small bucks. Hunter seen a few deer also. I’m starting to burn out and ready to kill some ducks.

Made a duck hunt w two camp buddy’s. Killed a few birds. Gonna duck hunt again in the morning.

Me and Pearl went to the new duck blind on the property that was built this year. Wasn’t expecting a shit ton of birds, but was expecting to kill a limit of greenheads.
As luck would have it (bad luck) I didn’t even shoot my gun.
The last pic tells the whole story. Pulled my cards out the cams and didn’t see anything I’m will to kill this year. Put some golden nuggets out.
Currently sitting in a recliner on the porch while Pearl gets some sun. Not sure if I’m gonna go deer hunting this evening, don’t need anymore meat. Tomorrow will be another duck hunt where we hunted yesterday and pack up to leave. I have to drive out of my way to pick up a rifle I won last month and then drive home. Season is winding down and I need a brake for a few days. Intend on making some more duck hunts till the season closes.
