Well was supposed to rain and boy is it raining. Was gonna duck hunt and no one wanted to start w a wet ass before even hunting, so we camping. Got a buddy up and his son at the camp. Them ducks we ate last night were awesome. Watched LSU put on a clinic and also got to watch the osu/Clemson game that was good. So today is a chill day and will take a ride to my buddy’s property to pick up a couple deer that he has hanging and don’t need to give to my guest. Next 2-3 days should be good hunting, or just good weather anyway. Life is good at the camp!

We back in the stand. Rut is on and finally got weather deer like. 38 degrees and NW wind at 4. We will probably sit all day if we getting some movement.
To be honest I’m kind of getting burnt out on deer hunting and would like to duck hunt lol. Ain’t that a good problem. Anyway, wish us luck.... should I start bitching so we could kill?

Well I seen 5 does and 3 young bucks. Hunter has seen around 10. He stayed for the whole day and I went back to the camp for two hours to air out Pearl. Back in the stand since 2 and ain’t seen didly.

Update from yesterday evening, not real exciting. I seen 2 does w a spike following one doe. Hunter seen 9 and one being a small rack buck.
This morning no wind or very light out of the NW. 33 degrees w a heavy frost and clear skies w high pressure. I have a good feeling this morning but that always don’t go as expected. I will report back later.

These fucking deer, I hate them. I don’t know why I even hunt them. Ain’t seeing shit and this should be on fire. Golf and bowling is what I’m taking up. Fuck this shit!

Thanks. It’s even my anniversary, 26 years married and she lets me miss it to chase these dumbass deer. We have been together for 35 years. I have a good woman.
