They will be killing mallards in the morning as his friend is saying most ducks he’s ever seen. Like 5-6k on his place. After the funeral, pearl and I are headed to Arkansas, Imagine that 😂.

Well I hope yall not getting tired of seeing the same kind of post, so here goes anyway. Took my podnahs again to a different spot. Met at the parking spot but another truck was there. Told them let’s go to his dad’s spot, we only had 35 minutes till shooting time, turned out to be the right decision. Shooting time came and the birds were coming and n good. We ended up killing our limit and Pearl had a great time chasing and retrieving birds in the flooded palmetto flat. Chandos got him 3 after their squirrel hunt also.

Hunted this morning killing my 3 rainbow teal quick. 19 degrees this morning and all the water in the woods is almost frozen over. Cleaned up camp and packed truck. Headed home before the rain:sleet/snow hits tonight. Many bridges will be closed and I cross most of them. This is the bayou state so 😂. Hunter and his buddy blistered the mallards and pintails in Arkansas and he’s headed home also. He killed an odd mallard. From my research it’s an old hen that is no longer breeding so she grows a male plumage.
