Just settled in. 5 comes early so I will update while in the stand.

We in the tree. Come to find out it’s youth weekend. We can still hunt but have to wear orange. Got to the camp about 11:30……long day.
So here we are, no trucks parked at our spot and so far just some turkeys heard and seen. I had to walk dj to a tree at a climber can use while hunter set my steps up.
well shit almost had a squirrel on my head while I’m trying to post. My first hunt out of a adult diaper and there is a lot going on to set up. It will get better w time.
Anyway…… it’s a beautiful day to be in a tree and not at work. Good luck to all hunting and God bless!

We back in, same stands as this morning. 68 degrees and cooling some. Only 3 does seen by dj and turkeys by hunter.
After we got down we took a truck ride to the other end and scouted. A little bit of sign but we like where we at. Walking in we had turkeys and we could’ve maybe had a shot except for us wearing orange. Hunter must’ve busted a doe as she went by dj as he was climbing. I’m getting more comfortable w my adult diaper each time I use it lol.
End of our first day, didn’t turn out like we hoped but not bad considering the weather. The weather gonna be a repeating pattern for the next 5 days so. This evening I seen a doe and 3pt and had some turkeys fly up by me. Hunter seen 40 turkeys and DJ seen just the same 3pt. Dj gonna move pasted me to a funnel I found last year at the end of our trip. We have a bunch of rubs and shit ton of scrapes. Some wide open and some a day old or so. Just a matter of time and persistence I hope.

A bunch of small bucks moving around today w some does. We gonna hang in the trees for a few hours

So we had a decent hunt seeing a bunch of small bucks and a few does. Hunter wanted to go to the other CA so here we are for this evening and tomorrow. Wind is picking up out of the w to sw and it’s warming up to 70. Not good big buck weather but we got nothing else to do but sit in the stand. Jumped a big spike coming in and dj seen a big doe across the gully on my side of the hill. Hunter sitting a corn field, said wasn’t much sign. We gonna give it a go, maybe blast a doe or two .

So another boring post by me. Anyone still reading this shit?
Woke up early, we break out to our stands at 6am. Settled in and checked this site out while waiting almost an hour for shooting time. Sat till 10:30 zero sightings, dj seen a 4pt and Hunter had the same as me “sqadouche”. We pulled stands and arrived at the camp. Hunter said we have 3 new CA’s to scout. It’s 75 degrees and blowing 20-25 out of the south, I said load the fuck up.
First spot I knew we were in trouble, straight up and straight down. Almost didn’t make it up the trail to the ridge. I thought to myself, I must be real mad at them or stupid. I don’t know which one I’m more of but definitely both. We got back down to the truck, not much interested me and I told him fuck that other hilly bitch, we going to the river.
The next spot was on the river. Found the one entrance to a CA that’s probably 7 miles long along the river. We bounce in the willows and it’s packed w fresh scrapes, every 20’ w 2 or 3 under same branches. Also found some big what looked like community scrapes. Mostly high grass, willows and a few sycamore trees and maples I think. It would be a quarter up and pack out if we killed.
