Good action here early this afternoon. Just passed up a pope and young 8-pointer as he followed a doe right under my tree. Glad I didn't go pheasant hunting. What a day!

Actually have service. Overlooking food plot from the stand I fell from two years and a day ago. Maybe Lady Luck will bring me good fortune this eve.

Just moved to the other side of the farm... didnt see anything yet today... i had to go home to get my climber but this spot feels deery to me... in a 30 yd strip of woods clearing between a nasty thicket and a half mowed crp field... the half that isnt mowed always holds deer...

Thermals? I have 25 mph wind gusts. Never thought 60* could feel so cold.
It's weird what happens in that spot. First year there and wind direction is irrelevant! LOL. The wind has picked up here now, which is good for that spot. When the wind lays down, it wants to suck everything down the hill in to the drainage, which is the funnel it's hung for. It was rising until 2:15, then it switched over.
I agree though, I'm "over" dressed for 60.

I went out for a bit yesterday afternoon .... overdressed & sweated like a pig. I went out @ 930 this morning .... underdressed & the winds fugged me up every way I moved. I'm gonna go back to work for the next two days & watch the messy weather from the windows, then off until the 15th. Full moon coming up & thinking that may just be the culprit. Good luck !
