Had three big does trotting on the other side of the creek where the chasing was going on yesterday. This time they crossed over to my side and I was waiting for a buck to follow. He never came. Now I think I have 4 does bedded down couple hundred yards away so hopefully something cruises by looking for them soon.

I can only sit until 1pm today and then going home to eat lunch and pick up my daughter so she can have a chance in the blind this evening. She doesn’t do cold well but wants a buck and it’s going to be about 40 degrees tonight so that works out.

I’m starting to think I’ll be chasing deer on the weekends in late season. Just doesn’t seem to be happening for me. I can’t hunt this many hours per week forever. Having loads of fun but I got other stuff to do.

Didn’t see but 45 squirrels until 9am, went back in to exchange for the .22 and my son. 5 minutes back into the blind we had one turkey, 5 Does, and a 6 point. Oh, and we’re less 2 squirrels.

I stayed out till 1030. As soon as I last posted about nothing moving, a doe & two fawns came in & fed around , for about an hr. Towards the end of that hr & as they were making their way up to the oil well road, I could see a couple small bucks chasing deer down the road about 100 yrds out. My deer really weren't concerned & kept on feeding for a bit longer before moving out. Nothing else came thru. Leaf blowers are out & I need to join them. I'll back out tonight.

Good luck !!

Had a small buck chase a doe right behind my tree. When they cut across my trail downwind they both froze. The doe took about 7 or 8 more steps and stood still in that spot. The buck went about another 15 yards or so away and slipped behind some brush and stood there. After 20 minutes or so I noticed another doe with a fawn coming in. They all ended up hanging out down wind for close to 45 minutes the closest one being the first doe who stayed about 50 yards out.
Eventually the nanny and fawn wandered back the way they came and the buck decided to push the doe some more. Not a moment too soon, I had to pee and was holding it waiting for them to leave.

Settled in for round two for the day.
There are bucks bedded across that creek, I just know it!

Now I hope they decide to get up early and make thier way towards me to show off their racks.

The winner may just get an arrow ;)

Good luck guys!

I’m back out in the blind...this time solo. Since I’ve had the past 12 days off and report back to work tomorrow at 7am....we know how this will probably go down.....
