Made it home from camp early afternoon and I went out to the back 40. The 45/70 got to speak today.

So Ben is at camp now in PA, got there today about midday. 15 mins after hitting the field he's filled his PA tag.
He's got no steady signal, so says he'll check back in this weekend with the full story.

Pulled my card on the way to the blind. STILL no day time pics, but twenty minutes later it's a Fuckin doe buffet.

Someone down the road has opened their gun cabinet and is emptying their stick pile of ammo. And Kevin, there's a leaf blower goin just up the road the other direction. Ugh

Man it feels good to have a gun in the hand. All setup with rain moving in around 10:30. Just out looking for a doe. Stiff NE wind in the face but the snow is all but gone. Happy gun week weekend!

This kind of morning. Wife is on call, so I'm confined to the house for the weekend. Thankfully, I have a plan for that! Sitting 150 yards off the back deck overlooking the oak flat that connects a couple bedding areas. If folks are out running deer today, I'm in a good spot for some "leftovers".

I'm spike hunting so I can challenge my manhood.

They're just off my property line but on a property that NOBODY is allowed on. Probably see how this morning plays out, maybe they bump something my way. I'll call the landowner and give him a heads up.

Congratulations to Benji on his PA buck! I’m out for one last sit before heading home this afternoon. It’s been a fun week hanging out with my friends and bro at deer camp. I’ve had my crosshairs on a dozen deer this week but nothing that made me want to drop the hammer.....yet. Congratulations to everyone who got it done this week!

My view till 11 then it’s our big breakfast at camp and some college football before heading home.

Back under the umbrella once again and I'm gonna give it a few hours this morning.

It's supposed to be non stop rain from here on out for the day.

Not really expecting much, but you can never know unless you give it shot.

There are advantages to being to hunt so close to the house. There are also disadvantages like knowing you're close to the home toilet and not being able to tame the growling in your guts. The rain picking up helped make that decision! Coffee and tunes in the workshop kind of day now!
