I'm damn near to the bottom of the hill at an area that is littered with alkinds of blinds - several old & fairly new makeshift tree & box blinds.
I'm settled in one of them for the last hour.
On the way down, I came apon three antlerless deer, two adults & a young one within 35 yards of me that I could've easily shot.
No blow, no flagging tail, just simply trotted off further up the hill.
Basically straight out in front of me that you see in the photo above.
Maybe a buck will try to trace them.
I'll find out soon enough.
Just cracked lightening and thunder with a little pop up shower. Cotty spot on with the baseball feel.
Nothing pisses you off more than a call from your credit union fraud department asking if you spent $700 at a Kroger’s in bowling green Kentucky. Hell no I have never been to bowling green Kentucky. I hate a damn thief. Glad it was the first of the month and not the end of the month.
On a brighter note I just had a small buck chasing a doe on the other side of the creek bottom.

Had a great day afield with my BIL. We do some strategic pushes on his property every Sunday of gun season. Just two man drives through CRP. Today he got his 1st buck and I’m on cloud nine for him! So glad I was there to be apart of it. He took one shot and double lunged it. Ran 80 yards and piled up in creek.

Drew and I hunted 7 hrs today and only seen 2 doe. More shitty weather to cap off a week of shitty weather lol....I'm glad it's over. We are taking a break for awhile!
I'm back out. I had to work the weekend & it looks like I didn't miss anything .... other than my wife telling me there was a big buck out behind the shed during the afternoon. So, here I am. So glad to have the so called gun season over with.
Well doesn’t this just suck, no where during gun during light. Today well after shooting light. He showed up 30 minutes before light the last 2 days, I swear it is like they have a calendar

Brother in law got this yesterday in Shelby Co. With all the rain Saturday he saw a ton of movement and this guy came in. Too bad for me - I sat on that property all day Saturday in the rain

Only mosquitoes yesterday afternoon till dark. Maybe the two day weekend will be good it’s been lucky fir me in the past.
