Son and I hit the ground blind near a thicket to ride out the rain. Nothing seen here tonight.

Getting ready to walk in . Only saw one dink buck last evening but the farthest I could even see was about 25 yds . Hunting a different location on the same property this morning.

Good luck

Told the missus last night I am gonna hang out with her and the kiddo this morning. Just stepped outside for a smoke... damn...

Somethings gonna die this morning. Forecast is calling for rain again this afternoon. I might go out after trick or treating if it holds off.

Damn it...my damn head has got to me. Got all ready to head out back this morning and was ready to fire the smoker when it went to work. I really have no time to deal with a deer right now, I tell everyone no hunting at my place until after youth season (gives my kids a fair chance), and I should be headed north to see my grandma... sitting in the garage right now with my head down. Better get back out of these cloths and do the right thing. Good luck fellas! Everything fells right for the deer woods morning. I’ve still never killed a deer in the morning and today that won’t change.

In stand. Had an great night last night. Planned to just sit in a box blind over a large foodplot as an observation sit and to stay dry- end up passing a great buck at 15 yards.

I’ve had him on camera all summer and just believe he needs one more year. What an evening.

Here’s a pic from him earlier this year

Hunting transition area this am that is known for scrapes and rubs. We’ll see what happens.
