Well, I lied about not hunting until Saturday.

I got to looking real hard at the weather conditions for the next couple of days along with google maps last night.

So, this afternoon at noon, just before the rain hit, I went out scouting at an area that I've wanted to try out with my pop-ground blind.

Glad I did cause I found a shit load of scrapes & rubs in this area.

I mean a bunch!!

So I setup my ground blind just inside the CRP field right in between the major scrapes and those tree rubs.

Tree rubs 30-40 yards to my left and major scrape line starting from 20 yards to my right.

This is where I'll be hunting until this fall monsoon is over with sometime Friday

Until then, I'll be staying nice and dry while waiting on a rain soaked shooter buck come strollen on through, hopefully :D

We'll see what happens...

Good luck fuggers!

Hey guys, haven’t been around much lately but out in the blind for the first sit of the season. New job, harder classes, and just more busy overall but I’m finally out. It’s pouring rain and has been all day but I’m just happy to be sitting outside enjoying it all. Good luck all.

Yeah how’s not the beard?! Glad you’re back around and out hunting Ryan.

Hahah it’s going good. I actually cut it off because I needed to get in an internship and I’m glad I did because they hired me on full time and promoted me up already. But I’m still rocking a stache and a short beard so it’s not all gone. But thanks guys.

I had a big doe come in giving me multiple opportunities anywhere from 3 yrds to 20. I'm not after does yet. I'm not sure if there was a buck in there somewhere harassing one or not, but they acted like it at different times. After I got out & was changing cards before leaving, another fawn came in. I've had quite a few deer come in real close this last week, but never the right one yet. Cooler temps a coming !

Sounds like you’re having a hell of a lot of fun though!
