I shanked one of the young does I’ve been watching last night. She was to smart and kept trying my patience. Me and my oldest made chipotle sausage and brautwurst. Won’t hunt until I get back from Washington next week plus I start a new job! Hell of a week!

No dice tonight. I liked the setup though and didn’t have anything blow at me getting out. Maybe will try it again. I dunno
Here’s the trail I’m setup on. Just had enough of a “hole” to shoot out of.
Did end up having a lone doe cruise on by. If she would have been closer she would have been my cold shot for the day.

Sitting in a tree on some public ground this morning. Got the wind quartering in my face and a creek to my back, white oak acorns all around me. Hoping one comes slinking through here to bed near the creek.

First sit on new property. It feels good. I don’t typically hunt mornings in early October in Ohio but it’s finally cool. Just a little light recon.

Wind blowing right at her. She did do some scent checking. Then continued feeding and walked off.
Beautiful day to be out, although slightly breezy. This weekend should accommodate some arrow flinging just fine! Good luck fellas!
