Farmer asked if I knew someone looking for a dead doe yesterday. I asked around. Nobody knows who killed and left it. Farmer said 2 holes. Little high. Looked like field point or rifle. Ugh. I'm within 100yds. Turkey buzzards are hanging out in massive oak tree about 30yds away from me. Hope they don't scare off the other deer? New one on me. Never seen this before from so close. Thoughts?

Thanks. I sorta figured that part out. I'm surrounded by them here. Sickens me to think the doe went unrecovered. If it was poached it is infuriating. I must say the buzzards were pretty freaky. 10 of those big suckers in one tree.

I was half ass trying to get back out, but there are a few deer up in the thicket between the house & my spot. I'm not a fan of afternoon hunts until into the last week of October.

I'm on a nice travel corridor between bedding and food. Just had a damn nice 8 point that wouldn't commit all the way
