Was out this morning, nothing saw. Gun shots started around ten and left. Way it’s going I went to wrk even tho I didn’t have to. Speaks for itself.

One thing I never do is set Dirty in the woods. Compound /crossbow. As a guy who hunts from the ground the bow is always at the ready. May have to turn it but never have to reach for it. That’s what I consider ridding dirty.

Disclaimer I don’t hunt out of blinds so it’s back and a tree type deal.
I have to admit I have no idea what you’re saying but am very interested to hear what you meant.

I won't be able to sleep tonight. Checked another cam that I knew would have that buck on it as well, and along with others. There's been a lot of night time activity in front of my blinds. ......

Advice please. Believe it's pure shoulder. Not much penetration.Broad head still in him. Tracked 2 hrs after the shot. I only went 80yrds or less and back out due to non squirting blood trail. Not looking promising. ? Is how long to wait now......?

Go until the blood runs out or you find a pool of blood (bedded). If you find a pool or where he was bedded back out and wait some more. What’s the temp there? If he won’t spoil then wait till morning, much easier to track and will find him if it’s a Lethal shot. Just my 2 cents

What bh are you using and did arrow break or bh pulled out of arrow.

I will say this and will take some heat for it. 90% of the calls to come track with my dog are using rage. Take it for what it’s worth. Some I find some I don’t. A pass through is the most important thing to me when I’m bow hunting.

Expandable 3 blade 1in1/2 cut chiseled. The threads broke flush. It's cold enough to wait I'm concerned blood drying to much overnight to track.

@Bowkills Back out. That seems like good penetration dude. Don’t worry about blood drying, it’s still visible. Look far and wide once you lose blood too. If you run out of blood, continue looking ahead. Check water/creeks/low spots. Think like a wounded deer. Look at the terrain and leaves to see if you can tell a path.

Well gonna be a long ass night waiting till the am. thanks for the advice. I think the outcome is still going to be the same though and I'm basically trying to get mentally prepared for probably wounding one of the nicer bucks I've ever shot. I know I've found many deer on far less blood trails but the broad head being busted off screams straight up stuck in hard bone. I hope I'm wrong.
