Nothing can wear you out faster than having to dig your truck out of snow like that. Got 'off the road' a couple times in the UP and damn what a chore.
Oh, I was tempted. If my freezer were not stuffed to it's capacity already there would have been some wood in the air last night. being that close to deer without them noticing you is special no matter how many times it happens if you hunt them up close and personal. sometimes it's more pleasing to not try and kill them.@Jamie - that’s an almost perfect evening in the woods. I agree. I had 14 deer From 35-50 yrds in the hardest part of the season to do so especially in these see through areas. Had a plan from watching these deer where they had been bedding since the north winds have been blowing for a week and a half and they switched up their pattern with the southeast blow. So successful in my mind. I Still have one or two sits left I think. Got another herd I've been watching I might try for or try these deer again. They r still in this mile.
Everywhere I started digging last night froze decent. I had a spud bar in the truck I had to use to break it up before shoveling. I'm whooped.
Glad you got out. Im in for the hail mary weekend. This wind sucks but good luck to anybody out. Last weekend my brother saw a big boy in the general area im at. Hope he is still holding and takes a stroll by.
Went and got permission for a super mega huge enormous probably makes top ten in woods size for my county. It might stretch 500yrds x 225 on one end 275-325 on the other. Mammoth lot! Get lost in it. Haha there's 20-30 deer in it. 5 bucks I've seen bedding seperate from does. I'll end up spooking some for sure but at least some are there. Icy on the cake four bucks holding both sides one pretty one. Just going to sit as long as possible.
Damn, made a plan to scent bump mid day today and the buck just showed up across the road. Trying to build a plan now on how I can get him to where I want. Gonna get fun today! Stay tuned as we try some last efforts for the big 9. Josh isn't available yet,,,stupid kids sports. 
Target acquired! He's bedded in a great spot. It's gonna take us a couple of hours to make this work. I feel like it will be worth the effort!
We’re in. Not much snow left and they absolutely hammered the corn in the last week. Freshened up the pile and we’re settled in for the wait. Really hoping to make it happen for my buddy 
I am out and deer are starting to move.Lots of tracks in the snow.

I'm officially done deer hunting for the year. prefer ending my season on a high note, and I definitely hit that note Thursday night. good luck to all of the brave and dedicated lunatics sticking it out to the end.
