He came into area @5:30 sharp and appeared to be on the search. He stuck around for approximately 5 minutes, got just within 45 yards of me and I thought it was going to happen, but he slowly turned towards the picked cornfield instead, then walked right along the field/wooded edge, headed south, further away from me, and finally out of sight about a minute later.

He's one of the other real big guys that's stays within the area. The only🦌 I heard and saw this evening.

Another good hunt in the books for 2022/23.

Now headed home. I'll catchup later, c-ya!

Same six point and a doe fawn. Absolutely no interaction between them. Sum ting wong. Where are the deer?
Glad I'm not the only one thinking this, my brothers are in ky and seeing the same all the does together no bucks Checking them. Seen 7 does last night and 2 spikes, went to dads today and seen 8 does no bucks doesn't make any sense. I know lockdown blah blah blah but besides one or 2 days I haven't seen or even heard of much rutting activity. I have a feeling gun season gonna suck to.

So quick and semi embarrassing (I have no shame in my stupidity) update on the missing beanie, gloves and gaiter… went to my ole man’s for my sisters b-day dinner this evening. Told my wife to swing by the property so I could check to see if I somehow dropped my shit at the property prior to hunting this morning…. Yep. There it was. Had it with me the entire time, just never checked UNDER my truck. So now I’m going home relieved and half in the bag, gonna keep ‘er going and likely won’t hunt the am. All well. Hunting is stupid, and like Jesse, I have seen 1 instance of the rut since October 26th and I’ve spent my fair share in the woods since. Button bucks and does the rest of season for me 😂

Not sure the stats, but I've got some solid seat time in this month and have not seen a single sign of the rut. It's been the weirdest November ever.
I agree. My cams we’re full of deer up til Halloween. Then pretty much completely dried up. Put in 40ish hours starting on the 7th and saw 4 deer during daylight, nothing bigger than a 1.5 year old. 6 different stands. Nothing. No signs of any heavy rutting activity. Then cams blew up on 17th with multiple nice strangers. Saw twice as many deer in 1 hour on the 19th than my whole week off. For 20 plus years I have taken a week off starting around 4th/5th but I think I may try either pushing it back to say start on 9th/10th or so or split the days up across multiple weeks so don’t have all eggs in one basket. Last 3 years have been my progressively worst rut activity in 25 years. Of course, warm weather hasn’t helped. Haven’t ever hunted much from say 14th through 20th for fear of lockdown but starting to question that. And wondering if things may heat up at tail end as bucks look for/compete for last few estrous does?? It’s also possible I just generally suck at this.
