Now i got turkeys and deer checking each other out, im not used to this much game in north west ohio
Wind is funky, much like it always is in Appalachia, so I'm banking on the wind slowing down and the thermals taking over around 6. All my options have weaknesses, so I went where I wanted to go. The Corner Pocket. Feels like a night to see deer as long as the wind does settle. Couldn't pass up the chance to be out.

One doe, but it was the dinosaur doe I was hoping to see. She was alone feeding on clover. I was able to get down and slip out around her undetected. Was a beautiful evening with a clean in and out. No complaints here.

Wish I could participate live, but no WiFi at my property. Finally saw a few deer last week while on stand Thursday and Friday. Nothing I would dream of shooting, but both at less than 20 yards in front of me. A pretty good uptick in activity last week. A few rubs and scrapes showing up.I had the old a day late and a buck short issue again last Wednesday. Look at the neck on that bruiser.

Both my sister in laws shot bucks tonight savannah and my nephews up to bat this weekend. I've got all my side projects done for the week so I should be able to put some time in the next few weeks Instead of working 15 hours a day.

First sit of the season. Got a heard of cattle behind me , winds definitely not blowing in the direction it claims it is , and I forgot my range finder. Here we go!
It's ripping out of the N here, cool crisp Canadian/Lake Erie air.

In and sitting Pine this AM got good movement pics yesterday.. not expecting much don't think the 'searching' LoL - per @"J" below 'Seeking" has started around here, just harassment of the local girls by the local boys.

I saw about 15 this morning. One shooter. Had a couple young bucks work the decoy really well. Could have nabbed them with a frog gig. Had to quit at 9, still had five does in view at the time so I barked like a coyote until they wandered off.

@"J" I'd say a day or two (North) earlier. Seeking seems to have trickled in but not really on their feet with purpose. Gonna be colder the next two mornings so that should be very good for AM movement as the woods starts smelling of ladies in desire.

I feel like our bucks are still sorting out whose territory is whose, but did see signs of some chasing last night. Half-hearted, but had pics of a 2.5 pushing a doe by the cam. It's certainly ramping up!
The plan as of now, unless the camera changes my mind. I’ll arrive the 5th while it’s raining. Put a couple bow/backpack hangers up on the 2 stands we moved then start hitting hard the 6th until I get burned out. Usually only takes a week or so 
Got a couple possibilities on shooters, but it’ll be a decision when I see them. Not planning on hassling any does until gun season. There’s one buck that we labeled “bubba” and he hasn’t been seen since September. Which for this area is typical until the rut goes into full swing. Unfortunately there’s a couple guys hunting the property too the north of us and they’re hitting it hard right now. Must be on rutcation. Fortunately for my location it’s a travel corridor going too an unmolested doe bedding area. Which I can hunt but it’s worth blowing them out as there’s no trees or thick brushy areas too set up a ground blind. So it gets left alone until late season.
