5 bucks this morning including one that was hard to pass. No does and the bucks were just making their way through no searching.

Back out for the evening. Running on 3 hours of sleep and three energy drinks. Hoping I kill a biggin so I can call off work tonight and sleep 
than again if I kill one the garage fridge will probably get more attention than the mattress

It was another clusterfugg, but I’m in the tree and ready to go. Put a lifeline on this tree because it’s a little bit sketchy… Well during the course of that it got tangled and knotted up with my hoist cord for my bow. Quiet, frustrated swearing ensued. While untangling that mess I managed to drop my release 20 feet to the ground. (More swearing). Now I’m settled in and of course the wind is blowing much stronger than I’d like… but hey, at least it’s the right direction. First attempt with a decoy tonight. Let’s hope the wind doesn’t blow it over at an unfortunate time!
Yeah weather guy got the ENE right but is way off on the speed.

@jagermeister oh man, I feel ya. I didn't get to many stands due to 'life' this year so I'm trying to sneak around and be quiet getting a couple needed things done midday to rut stands... anyway lifelines, artificial pine boughs, pull ropes all conspire to faaaaaqqqqqq us hunters up.
How do like the decoy? I've never hunted with one. Seems a bit of a bitch to haul it. Don't they just circle downwind like rattling antlers?
Anyhow... in for the evening back at PIne to enjoy the evening air.

Did you stake it down?
If you get one to work the decoy as I did again this morning, you’ll love it! Don’t freak if it spooks a little at first. One buck sniffed it, bounded off 15 yards and repeated four more times. Don’t feel rushed to shoot either. When they lock in they are in no hurry to leave.

Holy faq, saw a bobcat slip across Pine right about where the pic is above, he then bushwacked a gray squirrel 25 yards in front of me, I thought I had the video going but screwed that up. He carried it right across pine again, right under my tree...
Thought I had it all on video but fat fingered it. Wow, one hunt for my memories thats for sure.

First time using it so the jury is still out. It is very well made though, and came highly recommended by Brock. This is a private farm and I’ve got lots of room to stash it in the brush behind me… so I brought it out here with the quad and it’s been here for a week or so. It would certainly not be great for toting in and out every hunt, but it could be done.
I did not. Of course.
. I really didn’t think it was this windy until I got out here on the east side of the farm. Fingers crossed this is the worst it gets and it lays down this evening.

We're out. Target buck was roaming during shooting light last night. Fingers crossed on the first sit of the year. Good luck tonight to those who are out.
Settled in after a slow and steady "slipping" into this spot. Wind is favorable and would be perfect for a cruising buck. Same spot I killed my buck in 2020 and where I had daylight pics of a shooter yesterday morning. Bedding E and W of here, cut corn to the N, creek bottom to the S. Ought to be a decent sit. 
We're in! Not sure I ever had a camera pull like this one. 5 shooters since Strouds and wind is good today. She said 2 of the 5 will not get a pass.

This might of been me...not Mason. I remember we chuckled about the one all bent up one you handed me. Seems like I put it in my mind to get you some. But I can't remember if I did or not.
Saw an adult doe with a doe fawn on meth. She ran 17 miles and never left the oak flat. Got chased out by a skunk and two coyotes. Last time I walk out with no light or a gun.

Zero sightings all day . Not normal for this spot . However I'm pretty sure they were filming the new chipmunk movie under my stand this evening
