Hunting at the lease in Athens county where we hung a new stand last week.

I saw 2 does from the stand and a tail when I hit the ground. There were a few sketchy moments with wind gusts.

Saw 8 tonight, let one young buck go. Did manage to get in a jam for a lil bit. Had a stick kick out on me about 12ft up. Good thing had linemans belt on. Still wasn't fun hugging the tree till I got things straight lol. I'm too big and too old for that kind of crap.

Congrats to those that have scored since my last visit. I've been out a few times, but no luck yet. Norma and I did a small revamping of my stands shooting window on Sunday. I've felt the window was bigger than I liked it for a few years, but never changed it. Covered about 12 inches of the opening on the right side. Left a small opening near the top on that side to be able to see deer that approach from the north. Most likely be out Thursday and Friday. I did find a fresh start to a scrape 20 yards out from my stand. Hope things are about ready to pick up a bit.

Up a tree with the muzzle gun. Wind is perfect and lots of daytime movement on cam. Froend killed a nice buck yesterday that was pushing some doe around. Woods are about to wake up down here!
