Took Grace out last night..saw 5 does and she had fun watching some raccoons under us. I have nothing around right now I want to shoot..gonna keep taking Grace out whenever she can go.

Same, one little doe spotted through the fog. Beautiful morning. It could still happen, 16 years ago today I killed a 178. But 7 years ago today I fell on my head. You really don’t know what’s about to happen.
I thought about this last year and ran it by a buddy. He said he's sure there's a niche for middle aged portly fellows out there. I've always said, there's somebody for every body.Need to find a side gig to get some extra cash to try and pick up a small piece of property. Think a middle age guy with a dad bod and thinning hair would do good on only fans? Asking for a friend

Well boys as soon as trees started getting cut they were all on the run…. I’m getting down now though. Going to go back to work the rest of the week and going to re start vacation next Monday. Gonna give the woods a little time to cool down and hope this doesn’t bump the guy I wanna shoot off my pieces of permission

Levi had 2 does feed through the oaks on the adjacent ridge to him, I heard a buck grunting but not sure where he went. Giving it a little while longer then heading back to the cabin to clean up and head home. Gorgeous morning

Just passed up a 4 point piebald.
Heard one doe bleat in the holler below me, but that's all I heard over the sounds of black bids on the roost and grain dryers. Noisy morning in the 100 acre wood. Fog only got worse throughout the morning.

Upper 60s and lower 70s for another 6-7 days with south winds. I don't have a lot of stands for south winds.

You are correct. I felt really good about crappie fishing some of those days and caught a ton of them. Then @Jamie shot a dandy buck on one of those hot days and made me think I maybe should have gone hunting ...
I am bummed about temps next week for my week off but just remembered shooting a 3 year old at 79 degrees two years ago in last hour of Rutcation. Can’t kill ‘em on the couch I guess so I am going to say screw it and climb in a stand and see what happens.

Been in since 2:30. Confidence is low. The only 2 bucks I would shoot have been missing for a while. Nothing of Ocho since august 30th. He’s not here a lot but always spends a few days the last week of October. I’m afraid he will never be seen again. Buster left 3 weeks ago and won’t be back until early December if he holds true to his MO. I had around 40 different bucks over the summer on cam and right now it’s about 10. I know there is a corn pile on every point and behind every house right now in the neighborhood so they don’t have to go far for food. So I’m pretty much waiting on a stranger to pass through and hoping for some entertainment in the meantime. Rant over.
