I've not been skunked one single time all season. I also have yet to hunt.

Field full of deer tonight. Only rut action happened right before dark. Little basket 8 came in grunting and busted up the field. The spike, 4 pt, and 6 pt didn’t even pester the does tonight.

Had a camera man with me tonight. Everything but the temperature seemed right. Watched two trees fall, a chipmunk, and tons of squirrels. No deer. It’s been awhile since that has happened. Time for a few cold ones and debating on whether tomorrow is a day to sit or go for a swim. I blame global warming for ruining the rut. Lol.

I blame Biden. All this standing corn is because the farmers are field drying this year because of fuel prices. Not worth starting the driers. This year sucks all around.

I feel like dog shit this morning, so I'm gonna take the easy way out and hunt behind the house. I have one stand down in the holler where I can see a lot of ground and if anything is near me, they'll be in bow range. Just dosed up on Mucinex and ibuprofen, so I'm hoping a hot shower, coffee, and a sunrise from the stand helps me out a bit. The amount of snot and green gunk coming out of me is not pretty
