Had the young stud 10 in checking out decoy at 9:30 at 30 yards broadside, again! That’s 3 times! Hims not going to make it with so much pressure around here being so young and dumb. LolView attachment 187609
Btw, after going over my footage I found this is not the same great young 10 I had two close encounters with two weeks ago. This is the other superstar young 10 that is running on our farm occasionally. So this is my first encounter with this 10. Gonna name him Curly cuz he has it all over. If he survives he good be really nice like the other one. IMO

I’m in. Been sitting for about an hour or so. Stopped at another property en route to replace a camera and set up a pop up blind primarily for late season for my wife and I, but maybe tail end of gun week or the bonus weekend. That took me longer than anticipated but here we are. First sit on this property all season, plenty of antlerless on cam, so the first to show will likely get shot. I’m sitting in a hole in the ground I piled brush up around, and I’m hoping for the best. Needs fresh brush to help hide me but I should be ok if an unsuspecting button buck shows up lol.

I hope things pick back up before long though.

Welp, that went about as poorly as I expected lol. In my 12 years of hunting this chunk of private, I’ve had deer come from the NW 2 times ever, after today it will be 3 times. Wind is SE so I knew as soon as I heard them I was fugged. Looked like a pair of buttons and a pair of mature does. Thankfully they stood around and stomped and blew for almost 9 minutes straight according to the video camera. I was able to get spun around after they split, and one doe stuck around. She was at 20 yards but too much shit to shoot the longbow through. Now I’ll be back here with a vengeance and a level of semi seriousness 😂😂

Live from my front yard…she kept following me to the truck. Guessing by what’s in the background, she’s probably saying “please don’t let him rape me!”

Been in stand since 6:30 and seen 3 bucks and couple doe so far. Two bucks were spindly 8 and 9 points that were 16-17” wide with short to average tine length. Just had a small basket 9-10 cruise through nose to the ground at 10:30. Wind picking up out of the south but temps are on the rise.

Good luck to everyone who are out today.👍🏻
