Had a memorable hunt last night! Not much of a story to tell, was pushing a couple does and gave me a shot and the rest is history. Thanks Brock and Mason for helping me get him out. Weight before gutting was 275. We had a hell of a time maneuvering him. He was an old deer and im happy but not without the feelings of sadness that come with it. A deer has to be right everytime and we only have be right once. That's a hard way to live.

Seth is a master of understatement. Mason and I were honored to give him a hand and believe me, he needed it! That is one of the biggest, maybe the biggest whitetail I’ve ever seen. We actually left him intact, took him to my barn to put on the scale. It legitimately weighed 275 on the nose. No guessing, actually weighed Of the hundreds of deer I’ve seen and handled I have seen one I think may have been in the same ballpark. Plus this deer was six years old!
Good job, Seth! Exceptional deer and I am glad to see him harvested by an honest and ethical hunter. Congratulations!

I've waiting 19 years to experience the rut like that on this farm! Ethics won over impulse this morning, so he'll continue on his escapades unharmed. Thankfully, he reminded me why I'm holding for the right one, and he was kind enough to do it on a full sprint at 3 yards! And of course Murphy's Law says I have to leave for family obligations 🤦

That's the wildest 60 seconds of deer hunting I've experienced. I had him so close, I could have jumped on his back! At 5 yards in the thicket, he stopped on a dead sprint, spun around, growled and threw horns at the buck behind him. I had him at 3 steps in the wide open, but he was moving at a good clip and I held off thinking I may get him to stop. It was the Big 6 and all 3 of the good 3 year olds on the same doe. It's the most ruckus I've seen/heard from the rut in 24 bow seasons.
