My son took his girlfriend out for her first deer hunt and scored on a nice deer. She got to see it go down with in 50yds of the stand . Couldn't be more proud of both of them and his patience. View attachment 199969

Me and the kids are out. 2 pretty good bucks been here real regular. Of course one of the big ones daylighted yesterday and I was at a baseball tournament. They did take home second but one of us would have a buck tag filled if we were there. I was going in there tonight but a tough wind for that spot and these deer have been to regular to not bring the kids in.

Took my youngest daughter on a four-wheeler ride tonight and we checked on the gut pile from Kaydence's buck. It was gone except the stomach contents, which were 90% acorn paste. Very little corn despite a whole neighborhood of bait piles and next to no greens. Pretty obvious what the main food source is right now! Also, rotted partially digested acron pastes is a special smell that'll stick with ya
