Let this older weak racked beast walk this evening. It was a tough pass with the longbow but not what I'm after yet.

If it truly hits 78° I might follow @Bigcountry40 footwear choices in the stand, it already feels warmer than yesterday and it's blowing more.
Picked an okay set up considering the wind, smoked heavily so here goes. It's more protected so i (hopefully) won't be swaying as much.

He followed playbook perfectly except 2-3 years too early
On the plus side he came from almost completely down wind so smoke and evercalm are helping. He stared me down once or twice but no real nervousness.

One antlered buck cruised thru real close. His body is big . Dink just showed up too.

I'm taking care of some work today then I'll be back out for November

Taking a break and going to do a all day tomorrow. Cold front moving in and low wind will be nice for a change. Good luck hunters!
Lasted until a limb come crashing down….. I’m out, back having breakfast and a cup of coffee. All set for the evening hunt.
Saw a lone little doe and a small 6 point the first hour. After that it died as the wind picked up.
Was tempted to take out a ground hog, 20 yards and just sitting next to its hole…. Fuggers lucky I’m cheap and don’t wanna waste an arrow and broad head on his ass….
Rain moving in overnight and into the morning. Taking the morning off and hitting it tomorrow evening. I think today is the fifth straight hunting day.

I didn't stay out long. #Ihatewarmrutweather .....plus I had to go in town. I'll be out this evening .....but , tomorrow....NOV. 6TH....most important rut day of all !
