Just the usual morning doves...no deer, no squirrels, no yotes.

I will be back in the stand in the morning for what will likely be my last deer hunt for the season, we'll see.

Checked a cam. We have does coming in every morning for the last four or five days. Mason wants to kill one with his compound but I don't think that's a wise use of his last tag just yet... Still, it would be kinda cool to see him get one with his bow.

Went out yesterday evening. Ground was soggy to say the least. I ended up seeing 5 does cross an electric easement road that I sit by sometimes. It can be a hot spot sometimes. But a shooter buck was no wear to be found.

Anyone else headed out today? I'm headed out for an afternoon sit in a couple hours. It's a little warm but including today there's only five more days I can hunt unless I skip school. I'm really hoping not to eat my tags for the third season in a row

I was out this morning. Bumped one of the 10's I've been hunting in the least likely spot I though he would be in... about 40 yards below my house.

Had 4 doe go through at 9.

Heading back out this afternoon for my last hunt until Saturday. Unless I get lucky with a snow day, but the forecast doesn't look good for that.

Our buck of interest is still coming in, but with the warmer temps, he's coming in the middle of the night. Most of the deer that are coming are coming late. We need a polar vortex or we are going to switch gears completely... Mason wants to shoot something with his compound, and I may resort to taking Dad's old recurve out. If I don't feel like we are going to get a look at him before the last day, our plan will switch. This week is looking too warm for my liking.
