Im with ya cotty, there are times i want to say fugg it and then i remember who all is still breathing out there lol hell i went and bought a new climber just so i could hunt the edge of his core area tomorrow

Good luck tomorrow! We are waiting on the next cold front. I hate having to lay off for a bit, but I think its our best move considering I can't bounce around much with our set up due to Mason being the trigger man, and of course I can't bail on the shop every day.

We're shut down until tues unless tomorrow's cam pull shows am activity and then a possible sun am hunt. Hoping for some snow for the last week and the big one holds his antlers a little longer!

Thanks brock, nnw winds are bringing the cold here. I was moving gravel tonight and it felt like the temp dropped 20 from 3 to 6, cant piss mama off too much lolGood luck tomorrow! We are waiting on the next cold front. Well I was out last night and this morning. Sat into the same set up both times. This is a set that I haven't hunted since there was green on the trees. Took all my hunting stuff with me to work so I could skip out a little early and hit the stand. Got to the property and realized I forgot my hunting boots. So I get dressed and make and ever calm the crap out of my work boots. Got to the stand and waited. It got to the last half hour and I saw some movement coming from the woods heading to the corner I was in. It had been so long since I hunted this set that I forgot that I always hang my binos on the left side of the tree instead of the right side. Well when the deer stepped out the only shot opportunity I had was blocked by my binos. The turned and went up the other edge of the woods instead of coming by me.
Go back this morning and at about 7:45 had a group of 6 deer come in on me. Some bucks but couldn't see them all. Wouldn't you know with my luck the deer got to my tracks from last nights hunt and smelled my work boot tracks. She instantly got weary. She got to 20 yds with no shot opportunity before turning around and I taking all the other deer with her.
This set was in a big old double trunked ash tree for the past 4 years. The tree has pretty much given up the ghost and I noticed a rather large split forming at the joint where the two main trunks come together. So at about 9:30 I pulled this set and moved it to another spot on the property. Hoping to give it a try tonight, but definitely will be there tomorrow morning. I have to get some meat for the freezer, its empty.

Sat yesterday evening. Couple tails ran off as the neighbor kid decided to train for his cross country season and run through the woods. Ugh...

Just settled in, over looking a big gully on a inside corner. Still plenty of snow on the ground so I should be able to see em comin.
