Had 15 doe come in. My buddy missed on his first shot. His second shot made contact but the blood started dripping after 20 yards, had good blood at first. I advised him that we should back out and go look in the morning. We'll be out there at 8:30am looking. This would be his first deer if we find it, hopefully we do.

Never found the deer. Lost blood, looked all over the 200 acre farm. Picked up blood in a bed but not much. From the looks of it I think the deer plugged the hole with some fur and ran onto the property that don't allow hunting. I think the deer is still alive.

Knocked over a shed buck on my way out today. Now for some payback.

Well last night was probably my worst hunt ever as far as me striking out in my hunting career. About 4:20 I had a group of 4 come in and the lead doe did exactly what I wanted her to. First shot opportunity I fired and shot clean over her. The worst part, she was inside 20 yds. I was distraught and shocked I missed such a shot.

Knocked another arrow and figured I'd wait it out cause you just never know what can happen. Right as I turn to start taking my arrow off the bow cause it's about that time, I see a buck closing from 30 yds. I grab my bow and he gets to 10 yds and looks up. I let her fly and shoot right under him. So pissed at two missed shots I about threw my bow into the pond on the way out of the property.

After church this morning I took the bow outside and flung a few arrows from 20 yds. Dead nuts, that means shooter error and humble pie for me.

Just need to get back to the fundamentals and focus. So I'm back at it tonight.
