My hunt Sunday evening may have been my last for the season. With me trading on call because of vacation and the weather being the way it is. I will probably not make it out. That suck big donkey dicks.

I was absolutely covered up with deer. I think I saw every one except the one I was looking for. Passed on several does, three small bucks. If tonight was my last sit of the year, I ended on a good one!

Settled in. Saw a dink bedded on a sunny hillside as we drove back the lane. He watched but never moved from his pile of logs.

Well, this is complete opposite of "live from the stand". I was unable to hunt Tuesday and Wednesday. Look who showed up at 5:00 and 5:30 each day...



He's the one that boogered Monday evening when the branch snapped behind me from the weight of the snow. My dad did a cam check yesterday around noon, so not sure if he was there yesterday evening or not. These are the first daytime pics we have of him other than one morning pic back around Jan 10. We got a snow day today, so I'll be in the stand this evening. Got 3 days to get it done. Regardless, it's been a fun pursuit.

Should be a good evening to hunt over the corn. This snow should bring them out feeding. I have the same feeling Flutey has. Put the arrow in the 10 ring. We will be watching for hero shots this evening.

Damn, good luck cotty and everyone else. I'm TOO "sick" today to go to school... but I can go hunting in below freezing temps with high winds . Will be hunting the next three afternoons unless it looks like the driving will be too dangerous on Sunday with all the snow because the farm is 60 miles away. Hopefully my streak of three straight skunks comes to an end, the same place I got skunked on Monday had deer all over on Sunday and Tuesday. Thats where I'm headed tonight
