We got setup at 3:30 and saw a doe at 4 but she was too far out then at 430 I saw some deer working towards the field. Threee came out and they were all small, they kept looking back and i said just wait there's one more. An ole nanny doe popped out. I told him to let em feed for a bit cuz they were working towards us. Well..... they worked up to 80yds and He whiffed and was upset... to his credit he's never shot an inline and didn't realize there was a little delay for the gun to go off.

With 30min of shooting hours left he wanted to just go home and I glassed down across the field and said nope we're going after those two.

After a bit of a stalk we got within 125yds and he knocked it down in it's tracks with one shot. Man that was exciting! I gave him an option, either you gut or you drag, he ended up dragging lol

Awesome it is great when you share the passion with others and love helping them out. I owe a lot to my buddy that has taught me countless things

I'm in the woods now. Going to still hunt until dark. Standing in a spot now I haven't touched in 3 years. One hell of a trail through this pinch and it's right where I plan to build K's Spot. Very nice.

A small front went through and the was heavy gust. Calmed down now with off and on light rain. Staying till dark. L

I barely stepped foot in the woods. Drove the Kubota around on patrolled, pinched a grumpy, took two phone calls and loaded up for home. Wife needs help with Christmas decorations. I'll help and keep an eye on the backyard...

Scored another doe this afternoon doing some drives with OhioSam and some friends at an apple orchard Sam invited me too 4 years ago and I've been going just about every day during gun season since....

Lots of fun and plenty of exercise up and down those hollers....

lmao... One would think lol.....
Some is going too a buddy of mine and if I fill that third tag he'll get all of that one.... With an empty nest now we don't go thru as much when the kids scarfed it all down lol....
