I've taken her out 3 times now and we've seen 10 deer total, seeing deer each time. Got to be careful where I set this bar! I did the same with her mom and then the herd got decimated and we had some tough hunts that tried her patience. Had to remind her that when I started taking her in 2003 we had more deer than we may ever have again. It's fun being able to see deer, especially when trying to get a new hunter hooked. Staring at leaves isn't for everyone.

Argh!!!! Like yesterday, had a nice one come into range. Old warrior 8. Tried to thread one while he was that close after missing opportunity yesterday. Tight window. nicked a limb(was a couple inches low) and it redirected high and sailed over his back. Ha.unbelievable. Should have been patient. Now my mind is bent

Well, my first two days of hunting (in my entire life) are over. Yesterday I saw three doe in the distance. Today I saw woodpeckers. Barely even saw squirrels or anything. I know persistence is key, but I must say I'm quite jealous of you guys! Guess I have a lot to learn.

Getting to my head now. I write up full story in hunt thread. There was a doe with him that had to be the same one I skirted on way in. I could sense something was going to give, picked a small window and didn't clear it. But, now I'm looking at at like I should have waited for him to clear. Argh. Glad it was a clean miss.........

Do they even do it at night? I've got daytime and nighttime pics of nice bucks standing beside blinds and Damn near underneath my dad's platform blind..

Saw 3 does and 3 bucks. One maybe shooter. Couldn't get a good look. He kept his doe pinned down in the thick stuff. Fun hunt.
