Blew every deer in 12 townships out getting in here. Bastards were all in the bottom below the blind. One of them didn't quite make the fence jump from the sounds of it. LOL.

Good thing is I know there's deer in the thicket south of me which is why I'm in this stand, so who knows what will happen. Sitting until 9:30 then off to a meeting. Might head back out for the afternoon if I can get out of the meeting in time.

Heard one, possibly two deer slowly leave their beds as I entered. I'll take that over them blowing at me anyday. Get in my stand and the bow pull up rope is tangled at the bottom step. Son of a gun. All I could do is chuckle, climb back down and imagine what is going thru the minds of any critters watching. Such is life. Woods are quiet so far. Farmer cut back field edges leaving me feeling a bit naked in this stand. Could be worse. Jut not as concealed as it once was. Let out a couple soft doe beats after being settled in. Sitting quiet now and listening. Fog is rolling in patchy. That usually slows movement for me here in open country. I have until 10am. Hope lady luck is in my favor.

I watched one come from over a mile away. He went into the timber 200 yds west of me. He looked pretty nice but probably not a shooter.

Had 4 slick heads feed from 100-300yds away in cut corn. No bucks to be seen.

Very slow today. I'd say the moon is playing a factor now. Wish I could sit all day as I suspect the 11-2PM time frame may be perfect for an old brute cruising around.
