Damn guys, I expected at least a half dozen iks threads tonight. I've been shoulders deep in the jeep all day and haven't had time to check in. My back is freaking killing me and all my stuff, phone, keys, wallet...smells like coolant and oil. I need time to clean everything before I go out again. Looks like tomorrow evening for me.

Ended up seeing 13 this morning. One of them being a shooter at 30 yards. That's okay tommorow I'll be down the hill closer. 4 hunts at that spot and 3 bucks 130+ to walk by a certain tree cruising.

Saw 9 tonight. 100" 8 pt chasing them but not tongue out balls to the wall, just following and pestering.

IMO if anyone is seeing multiple adult does n no bucks u have a doe either in heat or damn close to it elsewhere...and every buck in the area is close by.

If u have ever been fortunate enough to be in the woods n have that one hot doe by you, u know what I mean

At least I'm not the only one that hasn't seen a buck, 4 separate sits and no bucks anywhere, a little upsetting. No does either??

I have read this in books, and I have heard it on TOO: If you sit for 2-3hrs and don't see any action during the rut, MOVE! There is action taking place somewhere. Now, I am not sure I fully agree with this. In some respects I do, but this time of the year things can change in an instant. Hang in there fellas. You can't kill them from the house. Get in the woods. Hit your pinch points and best doe areas, and hope for the best. Pretty much all a hunter can do right now. There is no doubt bucks are moving somewhere. They are as unpredictable now as they will be for another 12months. Only takes a few seconds to make your worst season your best. Be safe and good luck!

Movement through the woods before 6. Crows have gone crazy the rest of the time. So many it makes me want to jump out of the stand.

Last time I had crows like that there was a dead deer about 150 yards away that was hit by a train and they were all over it.... One truly annoying time on stand.....

As soon as I sat my ass on my seat had a buck working a doe in the thick stuff in front of me heard the m less than 100 yds away for 3-5min. Sounded like cattle crashing thru the woods. Never got sight of em tho, too dark
