Great day on stand, I'm finally thawed out but 13 hours in the stand produced 3 big bucks, 3 small bucks and 2 does.
All 3 big bucks were with does, not chasing, tending if you will. No sense of urgency just following them. One buck is the buck we named big goofy. Thought he was killed since the last pic we had was the opener of gun week. 62 yds was as close as he got though. The other was a very nice long beamed 10pt that had a 120-130" 8 behind him. I was averaging a buck for every 2 hours, rattled in a small 8.
After shooting light, as I was getting gear packed and ready to climb down, the woods errupted with deer, below, above, and beside me. Lasted until 6:25!
We got a cam sequence I thought was amazing, when it comes to "lockdown". Big goofy tended and stayed with the same doe from 11:23 p.m. until 4:14 a.m. when he finally mounted her. He then stayed in the exact same area until 6:46 a.m. pretty cool shit! Good luck guys we have one more good day left and maybe it will be tomorrow!
