So that definitely wasn't DD. This was a heavy 8-9 with long, wrapped main beams and similar tine length. Rack was polished with gnarly brownish red bases. He had beam length and mass to the tune of 10" or better on DD. Could have been the first OBB I've ever drawn on. When I first glassed him, my first thought was "thats a giant". Definitely bigger than my last buck.

Needed 5 steps or 5 seconds. I could have got an arrow through there, just not in the 2 seconds he stood there. 4-5 steps and he's 30 yards broadside. That's my luck...

Your getting close, just keep your hat in, its bound to happen.

Glad to hear some good action still going on. My mother in law is flying in tonight to stay for the weekend. That means I will be leaving work early tomorrow and will not return home until sunday night. Some people hate when their in laws come in, I love it... Gives me a free pass to fish or hunt all weekend...rotflmao

Bumped a doe walking in this afternoon. Since then the only thing I have seen is snow showers. Good thing I love being in the woods or I would be real frustrated. Making memories though.

Well, the only deer I saw were 3 does 300 yds. away in a cut bean field. After stalking to within 50 yds. of them, I watched them for about a half hour, no buck near them. Momma and two yearlings. But did stumble upon an amazing funnel that I haven't had a chance to scout at all. Can't be 20 yds wide, 200 long and the section I found had a scrape every 10 yds. Insane. Know where I'll be sneaking in with my climber later in the week.

Wish you guys were saying they were running wild, but at least you saw some deer! I'm going in the morning with renewed hopes, they gotta turn loose eventually!

Keep at it TOOzers, I have a feeling many of the shooter bucks will be coming off a bred doe now or very soon and out looking for another! Hang tough and remember what Rick(xbowguys) favorite saying is, "Your luck can change from bad to great in just a few seconds!" .......and I agree!

Good luck out there, the last few days have been perfect! Love the gray overcast skies and calm cold temps!

Today may be the day... Or not. There are worse things to endure than the dreaded lockdown, and its gotta be close to ending!
