Live from the stand!

I was just thinking that! I wish I would have got in the stand... Tomorrow though I will be out
 
Saw one very skittish doe right before dark. It's pretty windy here and her head and ears were darting all over the place. Never looked at the blind though so I'll take it.
 
I hunted for 2.5 hours tonight and had one young doe run in on me from the bedding area off to the NE at 6:27 and right into the honeysuckle choked edge of the standing beanfield to the east at 30 yards. Thought maybe something pushed her to me but nothing showed so she prolly was just stretching her legs from being bedded all day.
 
I saw 2 very nervous does at the edge of the corn 80 yards away, I won't be hunting that spot again until the end of October. It was windy and I got soaked. I'll be hunting my land in the morning, plenty of acorns dropping there.
 
I sat from about 4:30 until 7:30 in guernsey co. Stopped and bought one of those tree umbrellas on my way there and it was probably the best $20 I've ever spent. Jumped a little doe going in which I wasn't happy about and didn't see anything after that. The girlfriend and I will be going after her first deer tomorrow evening.
 
My buddy bailed on me this morning and I was dragging ass so I decided against going to the farm. Figure the shorter drive and walk was more up my alley this morning. Back in my platform blind. Hoping to redeem myself from last weekend. It'll be a tough hunt with it being wet. Got $5 that says I get busted today.
 
Planned for temps colder than I thought lol fortunately I had an inner liner on my jacket that doubles as a lightweight fleece.

Just got busted by a slammer 9. I was on record. lmao

Fugger slipped right in on me and was stopped about eye level with me. I was looking out the opposite window and when I turned, he pegged me. He wasn't overly alarmed, so that's good. Solid P&Y deer in the upper 130's with a dark rack. I'd have killed him for sure if he'd have given me a shot.
 
The good news is that's the earliest I've seen a shooter here and its the biggest deer I've ever seen this early in a season. Hell its only my second sit. I had a feeling there was a good buck in here based on the size of the droppings I've been finding. I'll see him again you can bet on that!
