Went out this morning and seen a 6pt eat apples 25yds from me then a little later on a 4pt came out of the woods and acted spooked for some reason and was running around the bean field like he was almost in a panic. It was kind of strange to see. But I seen some deer some it was a good sit. Also had some shotguns go off kind of close. I hope it was duck hunting and not poaching.

Just got in the stand, a little later than I would have hoped but my dad wanted to go look at a new gun for a carry conceal, anyone have any recommendations on a good everyday carry gun? He does like the smaller compact ones because he has large hands but he likes something along the lines of a Smith and Wesson SW40VE, any recommendation?

Plenty of threads on here about that. Check them out while hunting today. Good luck to all out there hunting. I am full blown Mr mom this weekend. Tending fire, feeding kids, doing laundry, butchering deer, cleaning house. . . .I just plan on shooting the bow this weekend and getting after it during the week.

About 120" 8 just came in after a rattling sequence. Can't say for sure that is why but it was shortly after. Really nice looking buck. Wish one of the boys were here.

Got the short-guy with me tonight. We almost got a shot on a big doe on the way in. She seen Braydon and moved on (without blowing). No snow but cold and promising. Good Luck Fellas!
