Live from the stand!

I have read this in books, and I have heard it on TOO: If you sit for 2-3hrs and don't see any action during the rut, MOVE! There is action taking place somewhere

The problem here is that the wood lots are usually owned by several different people. If it's happening somewhere else, it's gonna be on property you can't hunt.

Too small of a woods area for me to move. Dad had a 150" + buck push a doe by, but didn't stop to give him a shot. Said the doe didn't want anything to do with him.

In the past 15 hours on stand I have seen two dink 6 points. I hunted private ground on four different farms spread across Coshocton County. I can't seem to find the rut. Back at it this morning in Warsaw where I saw a little action Wednesday. Good luck to everyone out!

Doe and fawn came out of a thicket 100 yards away. Nothing behind them. Yet

Tons of activity between 6:45 and 7:30. Two different groups of does came through directly under my stand. One 6 point came in and stood about 5 yards in front of me foraging. He went and sniffed the around the does and walked away. Different group of does moved through just grazing through the woods with a spike and a 4 point. No signs of the bucks giving a rip about the does though.

Had a little half rack come through, he was full on rutting it, full sneak coming in mouth wide open and grunting so loud, that was my first time ever hearing a buck grunt it was so cool!

Sat in the stand for about 2 hours and didn't see or hear anything. Had to poop so I got down and checked the camera. 15 pictures of small bucks all after dark after a week long soak. Only hunted that stand twice and no pressure there so I think I picked a bad spot. Back in the blind now.

This morning's menu includes fresh mallard breast with scrambled eggs, Siracha, whole hog sausage patties, coffee, milk and pumpkin spice cupcakes with cream cheese icing. Can't do that in a tree stand!

Saw 2-3 small bucks cruising and grunting in crp. Then saw biggest buck I've ever seen in crp but couldn't call or look through binos bc had 2 does and 2 BBs beneath me
