Got set up in a thin woodline with my buddy and his brothers. Nothing from 2:30-4:30 and then the flood gates opened. Saw 25 deer. Decided to take a few back home ImageUploadedByTapatalk1420466949.743047.jpg

Took Addison out and we seen nothing again. Tough 7 yr old girl to hang with me tonight in those temps, very proud of her and I'm bummed that she never got to yank the trigger despite all of her effort during each gun seasons.

We got skunked. First time during muzzy season that's happened. I feel like we were set up right, we've been seeing deer when others weren't, so we were due to see nothing. Strange 'cause it was seemingly perfect weather.

We had a 17 year old female high school student with us all day while driving deer, never heard a negative word about being out there and said it was still a lot more fun then being at school..... Her father was with us and she posted and he drove all day too try and put her on one.... Came close a few times but she erred in the side of caution.... Twice.....

Had a great evening in the stand. Sat down at 3:30. Not 5 minutes later had a doe go through. She stopped to feed but got fidgety. All of a sudden three spikes came up and she just bolted. They ended up feeding off in the opposite direction. No idea why she bolted other than they must've been harassing her previously.

Right before dark had 4 large doe come in. I drew back on all of them and put the pin behind each shoulder just to pretend. As I was "practicing", a button buck came in and started bitch slapping a doe with his front hooves. Got a good laugh outta him.

I stayed as long as I could hoping the one I'm after would be in tow, but no luck. Hope to get out again soon.

Great sit Cotty! I saw 1 and it was far enough away I couldn't tell if it was a buck or a doe. My guess is that it was a 250" monster but who knows. Lol.

It got cold out there tonight. Those last 15 minutes almost froze my nose off.

Nice Sean and Mike! Keep after it fellas!

Garrett asked last night "If we are cancelled tomorrow, can we hunt?"
Me: No snow in the forecast. You aren't getting cancelled.
G: Teachers said it might be too cold for school. We might get cancelled.
Me: Too cold for school? But you want to hunt?

Proud moment. Hated telling him muzzle loader season was over. He isn't hunting until he shows me he is still shooting the crossbow solid.
