He is a solid 140s if not 150s 10 point. Never seen the deer before that I know of. I think he may have been the same one that wouldn't come out of the CRP grass the other night.

I don't think he has oooodles of mass but he has long main beams and some long time length.

Fugg me got a decision to make. Just gut shot a stud 10. Arrow grazed a sapling. [emoji35] Know for a fact it's gut. Could smell it. Got some blood that's not a dark red, but not super bright either. I also know he made it off the property.

Got some rain moving in here in a little bit. First thought was back out and come back in the morning, but with this rain do I chance it.

Hell of a hill on the way in. Pretty cool property layout. Major ascent through the hard woods until reaching isolated clearings up top. Major drop offs on just about all sides of the ckearings. Some good pinch points

Zero blood to follow. Made my way around and no luck. Thought I hit pay dirt once. Heard all kinds of crows sounding off. Got to the top of the ridge and they all go flying off. Thought for sure he was laying there but nothing.

Not really sure what to do now. Got to go into work for at least a couple hours. Then decide if what to do.

I havent seen dick this morning. The last 5 hunts on this property have resulted in only 2 sightings. Thats wretched. I keep telling myself thats exactly when a nice one will stroll in. I should at least be seeing more dinks, but its totally dead. More alarming is no doe sightings.

Will be switching properties soon at this rate.

Last year at this place i didnt have a great rut hunt till nov 21

Not sure I can do that. All my buddies are working. Also I am not sure the land owners want me to bring in a handful of people that they don't know.

There is a creek that flows through the neighbors property. Searched that for as long as I could. He has paths cut through the woods. There wasn't much that you couldn't see from the paths. I just can't see him going that far without bedding down.
