Good luck in the a.m. Cotty. Thats a helluva deer.

My son and I had a nice encounter while heading to the buddy stand. Had to dive into some brush from a fork point chasing a doe. It came within 20 yds at one point but we never were presented a shot due to being on the other side of a fence row.

My son is 7 and had a 6pt at 30 yards last week and got some buck fever. He started asking questions over and over, like he had never shot a bow. I just kept whispering to him to relax, pick the spot, and release the trigger. The deer ended up walking away and I never got him stopped again.

I hope it comes together for him soon before he gets discouraged. Ohh well, thats hunting.

Man cotty! That's alot of blood, I hope they are able to pick up on him in the morning.

Sounds like another good hunt Marcus.

That's a great encounter gpb1111 for the little guy and you.

Sorry on not finding him. How far did you have blood? Anyone have a deer dog you know ??

Kaisers about an hour away....

Not too far from Buckmasters camp either....

Mike, here's hoping Stan can get the job done in the morning....

Promising amounts of blood and I spied a bubble in there! Good luck to Old Scout in the morning. He will show you how it is done! Good luck Mike. He is a dandy.

Mike, sounds like a bigger clot clogged the hole. Had this happen once~~deer didn't go a lot further. Stay positive....we call him Scout for a reason. Send a spray bottle of peroxide with them fellas. Good Luck!

Going out and set in the same ladderstand as yesterday. I'll be able to set out until the cold weather this weekend.
