Herd was in the wheat.

Just set up my climber up the road, pulled into the parking area. I think I'll wait here for a while!

60*, the wind is perfect for the spot I'm hunting (it could settle down a little bit though). This is lay in the field and nap kinda weather, not late season hunting!

I foresee the seat getting kicked back very shortly, yawning as I type this...lol

Got in the climber and worked my way up the tree until I had some good shooting lanes. Went to pull the crossbow up and knocked off the quiver...mother fucker! Back down the tree I go! Only to find out that my feet just don't want to move in that direction anymore...(long history of issues with them and very little movement left in the ankle joint) I honestly start to panic as I can't work the climber to come down the tree. I have to stop trying to calm my stupid ass back down and inch by inch I made it to the ground in about an hour.

Now I'm dripping sweat and sitting in a blow down. Wind is swirling pretty bad down here on the ground...not much hope for this evening. At least I didn't have to call for help!

I had to move and get that wind in my face. Sweating bad enough that I started to strip down to dry out...I had to make a move. Not much for shots at this spot, but it's better than blowing everything out of the area.

Took a nice long walk. Swapped a couple camera cards. Looked for shed antlers with no luck. Saw nice paths where they have been using the area regular. Got some exercise. About it. Good luck to you guys still getting after it.

The deer were moving in my neck of the woods. Saw 4 bucks, 2 nice ones but one of them shed his right side, missed one of the 8 doe is saw. Damn arrow clipped a limb.
